On September 18th all new international students of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law had an introductory visit to the SHUPL Library building where they had an explanatory lecture about the rules and regulations (e.g. how to borrow and when to return a book from library, what is restricted…). A teacher guided students to each floor and explained everything in detail so that the students were given a chance to become familiar with the calm, modern, sophisticated and well-equipped interior of the library where one can find the vast amount of books or resources appealing to everyone’s taste and interest. It should be highlighted that the library is open from early morning to late evening and is always full of students.

Moreover, on the same day, the students were given another lecture-presentation on security Issues, which comprehensively explained how to keep one’s life safe and how important it is to secure personal possessions. A teacher explained what is necessary to take into consideration while a student is outside or inside the campus territory. Additionally students became aware of what to do in case of various accidents as well as what kind of measures should be taken depending on a situation. At the end of the presentation students could give questions to a teacher and at the same time they could get the presentation (ppt.  version) at the end of the day.
