Evaluation Regulation of Foreign Students “One Belt and One Road”Scholarship(Amendment)
In order to encourage foreign students to study harder and improve the comprehensive quality of them,school decided to launch SHUPL Foreign Students “One Belt and One Road”Scholarship from 2016.For purpose of better selecting,School formulated this interim procedures.
Purpose of selection
SHUPL Foreign Students “One Belt and One Road”Scholarship is the highest scholarship for foreign students launched by school.It is aim at inspiring students who have full development in moral,intellectual and physical,have high comprehensive quality or particularly outstanding individual ability.
Object of selection
graduate students, undergraduate students, Chinese language students who were not registered in our school,but applied to our school for more than one year(including one year),can participate in “One Belt and One Road”Scholarship evaluation.
Selection conditions
A.Participating students must meet at least three conditions following:
a.Students should love China, be willing to comply with laws and regulations of China and have good behavior and health.
b.Students should have excellent academic record in the past or have stylistic specialties.
c.Graduate students should be equipped with the certificate of HSK5 and the certificate of HSK4 is required to the undergraduate students.
d.Students should have made outstanding contributions or won the school-level or above honor in sports,art and other competitions in social practice.And students should have got the third prize or above and obtained the certificate.
e.Students have been invited to participate in all kinds of academic forums and can provide related materials.
f.Students may have written an academic paper independently and published it.
g.A scholar or student is likely to play a greater role in the development of foreign exchanges and friendly relations between China and other countries.
h.Outstanding students recommended by foreign government agencies or foreign embassies.
i.The student is conducive to the development of the school after identification.
B.Students who have one of the following circumstances can not participate in the selection of scholarship.
a.Have been punished by judicial and administrative organ because of illegal behavior or published by school for violation of school rules.
b.Failed in the course.
c.There has been absent circumstances.
d.Make false in the assessment process.
e.Have been officially registered in our school.
f.Have been obtained the qualification of other scholarship.
Selection time,number and bonus amount
Selection time is from January to July each year.
The award amount is 10000 yuan.
Grant time of scholarship
Applicants must be granted scholarship within thirty days after success report and formal registration.
Organization
A.The composition of the working group on the Foreign Student Scholarship evaluation.
The team leader is the dean of School of International Communication and Exchange(the director of International Student Office).
The team deputy leader is the deputy director of International Student Office.
Members of working group include:International Student Admission Office,Foreign Student Management Department,Student Teaching Office.
B.Duties of of Foreign Student Scholarship evaluation committee
Review and determine the list of scholarship winner.
Deal with the dispute matters during assessment.Accept the appeal and organize the reconsideration.
Revise the regulation on scholarship management and implementation.
Selection process
A.SICE(International Student Office) make notification of publicity on Foreign Students “One Belt and One Road”Scholarship selection.Then,Students can apply for it and fill in the “Foreign Students ‘One Belt and One Road’Scholarship”application form.Submit the original and copies of related materials.
B.SICE(ISO) audit qualification as well as material authenticity of foreign students who have applied for the scholarship.
C.SICE(ISO) review and summarize materials.Then,SICE organize scholarship committee to discuss candidates and finally determine award winner.
This regulation shall come into force from Nov.1,2016.
Final interpretation is owned by School of InternationalCommunication and Exchange(International Student Office).
