Chinese government scholarship program

                To enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and peoples around the world, and to develop exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries in various fields, the Chinese government has established a scholarship program to support outstanding students, teachers, and scholars from around the world to study or conduct research at Chinese universities. This program is designed to recruit outstanding young foreign students to study in China.

Scholarship Program

A.Country bilateral project

According to Education cooperation and exchange agreement which is signed by Chinese relevant national government,institutions,schools,and international organizations or the consensus reached by the full scholarship or partial scholarship.This project can recruit undergraduate students, graduate students,doctoral students,general advanced students and senior students.

Apply to the dispatching authorities for overseas study of your home country, such as educational department, Chinese embassy.

  

B.Chinese college enrollment project

The full scholarship,which is provided for provincial education administrative departments in part of provinces and autonomous regions of China and some Chinese colleges,is used by some Chinese colleges to select directly and enroll excellent foreign young students to learn in China.This project only recruits graduate students and doctoral students.

The applicant should apply to the Chinese college which undertakes this project.

  

 Scholarship Details

       • Full Scholarship: Covers tuition, accommodation, living allowance, and comprehensive medical insurance;

       • Partial Scholarship: Covers one or more components of the full scholarship.

       

Eligibility Requirements

       • Non-Chinese citizens in good health;

       • Academic and age requirements:

          1. Applicants pursuing a master's degree in China must hold a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years of age;

          2. Applicants pursuing a bachelor's degree in China must hold a high school diploma and be under 25 years of age.


Important Notes

       1. Scholarship applicants must submit applications directly to Shanghai University. Applications submitted through intermediaries will result in disqualification.

       2. Scholarship recipients must complete registration procedures within the university's specified timeframe. Failure to register by the deadline without approval will result in scholarship revocation.

       3. Scholarship recipients must submit original copies of all application materials upon enrollment. Any falsification will result in revocation of scholarship eligibility and admission status.

4. Scholarship recipients must participate in annual scholarship evaluations as required. Failure to meet evaluation standards will lead to suspension or revocation of scholarship eligibility.

5. Scholarship recipients may not change their major or duration of study without prior approval.
