Notice of the Essay Contest of Perceiving China - Our story of fighting the epidemic

 

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, the majority of Chinese government scholarship students have personally experienced various measures to prevent and control the epidemic in China, and have witnessed the entire process of the Chinese government and the people fighting against the epidemic. On May 17, Chairman Xi Jinping's letter to all Pakistani international students at the University of Science and Technology Beijing issued a strong response from teachers and students. In order to actively implement the spirit of the letter written by Chairman Xi JinPing, to tell the story of China's anti-epidemic, and to show the world the results of China's epidemic prevention and control, the China Scholarship Council has decided to hold an essay contest of Perceiving China - Our story of fighting the epidemic .

III. Requirements

1. Theme

(1) Our story of the fight against the epidemic. Under the epidemic, international students have supported and participated in the epidemic prevention and control work in their own way, and many advanced figures have emerged, so please record them in words and let more people know. You can write your own story or you can write the stories of other scholarship students around you.

(2) China under the epidemic. During the epidemic, you may stay in China or return to your home country. No matter where you are, you are concerned about the epidemic in China. Chinese teachers and classmates keep in touch. What new understanding and experience do you have of China?

(3) Learning time during the epidemic. Because of the epidemic, we didn't go out, stay at home and experienced a period of solitude, how did you get through it? How did your college and teachers in China help you during the epidemic? How do you try to stick with your studies? What did you gain?

(4) Reflections on the global epidemic. As the outbreak continues around the world, what can we as young international students do to fight it? What are the good experiences of China in the fight against the epidemic that are worth replicating? In the face of the epidemic, how can more people join hands and contribute to the promotion of common ground and the building of a community of human destiny?

2. Genre: You can write prose, familiar essay, argumentation, narratives and other forms. And poetry is not acceptable.

Title: 方正小标宋简体,Number 18

5. No more than 3,000 words.

6. Authors' profiles and photographs: authors should fill out a personal profile (see annex), which should contain basic information about themselves, their awards, participation in activities and study work, etc. Please also submit a personal electronic photo, if the essay is accompanied by a picture, should provide the picture description, please submit the original picture file, require jpg. format, the picture must be clear, each file size is not less than 2M.

Ⅵ. Deadline: June 7th, 2020

Ⅶ. Use of Essay: The China Scholarship Council will organize relevant experts to comment on the essays, edit excellent works into collections, and the publication of Shenzhou Scholars will be published in selected pieces. Every student who participates in the event can get a commemorative certificate.
